Face/Off (1997)

Labels: ,

Directed by Jon Woo
Written by Mike Werb and Michael Colleary
Budget: $80,000,000
IMDB

Face/Off is the story of two guys who are overact switching faces.
John Travolta plays a cop. His son was killed by a psycho, played by Nicolas Cage. Cage is captured by Travolta, but they find out that he planted a bomb somewhere. When Travolta finds out, he decides to switch faces with Cage. Travolta is put in prison. Cage somehow comes back to life and goes after Travolta's family, while Travolta escapes prison to stop him.
Face/Off is absolutely absurd. The directing is outrageous and some times hilarious. The acting from Cage and Travolta is completely over the top. The premise is cool. I think action movies are often better when they have sci-fi elements.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
