Lex Luthor is having his corporation drilling to find an alternative energy source for Metropolis. The drillers discover an alien pod. Doomsday comes out of it and goes on a killing spree, bringing out Superman. Superman and Doomsday battle through the city until Superman seemingly dies. Doomsday dies, too, which kind of sucks.
Lex Luthor makes a clone of Superman to do his own bidding. This Superman is a killer, but only kills bad guys, like a child murderer. The real Superman comes back from the dead and is taken to the fortress of solitude by his robot. Superman returns to Metropolis to battle Luthor's Superman.
Nice cartoon. Some lame lines here and there, but overall it's pretty fun and a good story. The subplot has Lois Lane finding out Superman is Clark Kent.
