Carl Weathers stars as the intimidating Sgt. Jericho "Action" Jackson, a supercop type. Craig Nelson is the villain. All nefarious action villain plans blur together and I don't remember what he does that's so evil. Probably killing a politician for monetary gain. Weathers teams up with a junkie to take out Nelson.
In this movie a lot of things explode. Sometimes things explode seemingly at random. Carl Weathers makes some of the most nonsensical one-liners in film history. Example: when a guy is carrying a can of gas and Weathers shoots a flame at him, he says "chill out." At least that has an opposite meaning, there's some that just don't make any sense. Also every time Weathers says his name is Jericho Jackson everybody says, "you got a nickname or something?"
