Air Force One is a ridiculous movie about the President's air plane getting taken over by terrorists. The President (Harrison Ford) manages to fake out the terrorists (sending out an empty escape pod) and decides to take the terrorists on single handedly. Glenn Close, William H. Macy, Gary Oldman and Dean Stockwell also star.
The great cast does not help to ground the outrageous plot. Ford is good as the ass kicking president, but I think Wesley Snipes would have been even better. I guess he already did a terrorists take over an airplane movie, though.
The action is good and pretty steady. There is only, maybe, one one-liner. Perhaps by not having one-liners they were trying to act like this movie isn't the kind of movie Steven Segal would be in, but it didn't work. Of course, I mean that in a good way.
