The tomatoes are back in another parody of terrible b-movies. John De Bello returns as the hero who fought the tomatoes back in the great tomato war. He now owns a pizza place (no tomato sauce) where his nephew and George Clooney work. His nephew finds out about an experiment Prof. Gangreen (John Astin aka Gomez Adams) is doing where he turns tomatoes into humans. He's trying to take over the world.
While this movie is technically bad, it is a parody of bad movies. The plot is very silly, of course, and the movie features scenes that linger, which is a fairly accurate parody of 80s crap. About half way through the movie they break the fourth wall and say the movie is now being funded by product placement. There are several funny prodcut placement scenes following.
