IMDB

There are three reasons I decided to watch this movie: 1)It was a "watch instantly movie" on Netflix 2) It starred George C. Scott (who is brilliant in Dr. Strangelove) and 3) Because Leonard Maltin called it a "fast-paced, nutty comedy."
Now let me address Leonard Maltin first. This movie is not fast-paced. It is short. Also, it's a comedy in the sense that people have ridiculous names like Al G. Carp and Herman Eggs. I did not laugh a single time. I smiled once. I tried to commit suicide twice. I'm really bad at committing suicide. I'm just non-committal, really.
Okay, George C. Scott is pretty old in this movie. He's not shit-his-pants old, but he's not the strapping young lad he was in Dr. Strangelove. His acting is fine, and in no way is the movie not being great his fault.
The movie itself is about a man who escapes from prison and steals a bank. Yep, that's about it. Pretty looney, right? Fuck you Leonard Maltin. I can't believe I trusted you. You gave Tromeo & Juliet a bad review. You're an asshole.
This movie was barely above average.

5.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
