A newspaper reporter returns after being gone for a while, only to tell her boss (and also her ex-husband, and also Cary Grant) that she's engaged and leaving the paper forever. The boss will do anything to keep her around, including framing her fiance repeatedly. Things get out of control when a wrongfully imprisoned man escapes from prison and hides out in the editorial room.
This movie was labeled as a screwball comedy on Netflix. I disagree with that, it wasn't actually very funny. It was pretty good though. I like old movies about journalism. Everybody talks really fast.
