Jean Claude Van Damme and Rob Schneider team up as fashion designers to fight off Russians who are planting microbombs in knock off jeans. Yes, this movie is very absurd. This movie also is the teaming up of the director of Once Upon a Time in China and the writer of Die Hard.
Surprisingly, this isn't the worst movie of all time as the premise and star power would lead you to believe. The directing is absurd, with quick cuts and weird, forced symbolism. It's a very Japanese looking movie at times, sort of like John Woo lite. That's not a bad thing and it made me laugh several times.
The action is decent and there's plenty of silly plot twists. Plus, shit is constantly exploding, including a giant Buddha statue and a huge boat. Schneider and Van Damme are also joined by Lela Rochon, the sexy CIA agent.

7/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
