While watching her friend, Anne, perform synchronized swimming, Marie becomes attracted to the team captain, Floraine. Marie decides to join the swim team and befriends Floraine. Floraine is thought to be a slut, but Marie soon learns that she isn't-- she's just a tease. Marie and Anne drift apart as Marie spends more time with Floraine.
I loved this movie about fifteen year old girls discovering their sexuality. The direction/cinematography is great. There is a lot of space in this movie (pauses in dialogue, characters remaining still). The characters are realistic and well developed over the course of the film. Highly recommended.
