Pearl Saunders, an American heiress, has climbed the social ladder and is part of British aristocracy. She pushes her sister, Bessie, to marry Lord Harry Blaine instead of the American, Fleming Harvey. Pearl throws a party for her friends including her lover, Arthur and her friend Minnie who is accompanied by a gigolo, Pepi. Minnie sees Pearl and Pepi enter the tea house, so she sends Bessie to get her purse from the tea house. Bessie sees Pearl and Pepi making love. Pearl must calm everybody down.
This was a pretty trashy and soap opera-esque movie. While the plot is fine, the acting is pretty wooden, especially by the male characters. Sometimes it's hard to hear the actors speak, but they probably only have one microphone on or near the camera so it's hard to fault them. Not a great movie, but an interesting one.
