IMDB

British talk show host David Frost witnesses Richard Nixon resign from the presidency of the United States and gets an idea: have a hard-hitting interview with him. He has a hard time coming up with the funding, but he still goes into the interview knowing that it will make money. He hires a small team of researchers, but it does no good at first due to Nixon's ability to deflect questions. Once Frost gets a fire lit under him, he attempts to get Nixon to apologize.
I loved this film. The performances are excellent, especially those of Frost and Nixon. Richard Nixon is presented as a very lonely man and Frank Langella conveys that perfectly. David Frost is pretty carefree, but feels the mounting pressure after the disastrous first three days of taping.
My favorite scene was when Nixon calls Frost while drunk and lights a fire under him. The final confrontation between them was great, too, but I love the passion Langella portrayed in the drunken phone call.
This movie is a piece of history that I had no idea about before the film came out. You see, I wasn't alive when Nixon was the president and up until recently I strayed away from new television. When I first heard what this film was about it sounded so boring to me. I couldn't have been more wrong. I'm very glad that I now know this small piece of history.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
