Yuki's father and brother were murdered and her mother was raped and tortured. Her mother kills one of her rapists and is imprisoned. She sleeps with guards until she is impregnated. Her child, Yuki, becomes her instrument of vengence. When Yuki turns 20 she kills her mother's rapists.
Kill Bill is based heavily on this film, in theme and several of the scenes are very similar. Of course, Kill Bill has much more dialogue. This movie is fantastic. I knew I would like it, but I was somewhat hesitant to watch it because of the rape. Luckily, they don't show too much of the rape, it's just the catalyst of the story. This movie is very gory for a kung fu flick. You usually don't see fountains of blood spraying in these kinds of movies, but you should. Watch it.
