A "Good Guy" doll is possessed by a serial killer. A mom buys it for her son. As the doll takes its revenge on those who "wronged" him, the kid is blamed for the murders. The mom and a cop team up to fight the evil doll.
Such a basic, yet excellent story. It's not scary, per se, but few horror movies actually are. It is pretty creepy at times, though. The end, where they "kill" Chucky is pretty gross. A burned up Chucky clawing his way toward the mom and kid as the mom fires bullets into its plastic frame. A horror classic and deservedly so.
