Satsuki and Mae's mother is sick and hospitalized. They move to the country, maybe for financial reasons. Their new house is supposedly haunted. One day, Mae wonders into an enchanted forest and meets Totoro, a giant, furry creature. There is also a catbus.
It's hard for me to describe what this movie is about, because I frankly have no idea. Yet, I loved it. It's cute and funny. The non-human characters are so weird. Hayao Miyazaki is pretty awesome. Very worth watching.
