WALL-E (2008)

IMDB

Jim Reardon, one of the film's writers was a director for The Simpsons from 1999-2004. I didn't know that going in, but I do love The Simpsons and recognized his name when putting in the "written by" info in.
WALL-E is the story of robots and space. A robot named WALL-E is on Earth cleaning up the garbage and building skyscrapers out of it. Then EVE, a probe from a spaceship housing humans, comes to Earth looking for vegetation. WALL-E falls in robot love with it and gives it a plant WALL-E found in a refrigerator. Then craziness ensues.
I really enjoyed this film. I especially liked the first maybe 45 minutes before humans become a big part of the story. The third act lost me a little, too, but I can and will blame that on the DVD error and having to skip a few minutes of the movie. A lot can happen in a few minutes.
It's a fun movie for the most part and looks amazing. This is the best looking Pixar movie by far. The humans still look so-so, but the robot stuff at the beginning is fantastic looking.

8/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
