Robot Holocaust

Toy Story (1995)

Labels: ,
Directed by John Lasseter
Written by Joss Whedon, Andrew Stanton, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow
IMDB

Toys come to life when their owner, Andy, is not around.  Woody, the most beloved toy, becomes jealous of the new favorite toy, Buzz Lightyear.  When Woody accidentally knocks Buzz out of the window, he sets out on a large-scale rescue mission and must return before Andy's family moves.
One of the all-time great animated films.  It's funny, looks excellent (even 16 years later) and has real heart, which is especially worth noting considering it is a movie about toys coming to life.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
