Margot at the Wedding (2007)

IMDB

Noah Baumbach’s follow-up to “The Squid and the Whale” is a funny story about a dysfunctional family preparing for Pauline’s (Jennifer Jason Leigh) wedding.  Margot (Nicole Kidman), Pauline’s sister, arrives after not having talked to Pauline for years.  This leads to much catching up and even more meltdowns.
A fun movie that has a big budget feel without feeling mainstream.  Great acting, of course.  Nicole Kidman is always excellent.  Some pretty funny moments and lots of familial fighting.  Worth a watch.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
