IMDB

When her father is revealed to be a Nazi spy, Alicia (Ingrid Bergman) is asked to turn a favor for the US government, where she would spy on a group of Nazi friends in South America.  She is in love with her contact, Devlin (Cary Grant), but ends up marrying her target in order to get to deeper secrets.
A pretty good movie, but I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed.  I was expecting to be blown away, but I sadly was not.  It is the same feeling I had when I recently watched “The Lady Vanishes.”  This is not a case of me disliking Alfred Hitchcock--I love “Vertigo,” “Rear Window,” “The Trouble with Harry,” “Psycho” and “The Birds.”  This is still a really good movie, but it just isn’t on the level of those others to me.  I would probably enjoy it more on a second viewing.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
