A biopic about the boxer Jake Lamota, focusing on his troubled relationships with his brother, wife and everybody else. He’s an asshole.
Excellent film from the master filmmaker Martin Scorsese. It is in black and white, which really works for this film. It feels fresh and old at the same time. Movies don’t get much better than this.
