The movie opens with Jamal being interrogated, thought to be cheating on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”. As the movie progresses, we go through each of the questions and sees how he knows the correct answer. We see his brother, Salim, grow from a child to a heartless gangster. We meet Latika, his crush and childhood friend, who is taken away from him by Salim.
A very good film, which won the Best Picture Oscar in 2009. Out of the films nominated, this is debatably the best. “The Reader” is the only other film that is even on its level.
