IMDB

A war crimes investigator (Edward G. Robinson) heads to a small town to track down a notorious Nazi war criminal on the lam.  The Nazi, Franz Kindler (Orson Welles), was the mastermind of the Holocaust.  He has settled in the small Connecticut town and has just gotten married to May Longstreet (Loretta Young).  When another Nazi shows up, Kindler murders him and buries his body in the woods.  Meanwhile, the investigator is hot on his trail.
A very good film noir directed by Welles.  While some of the dialogue sounds goofy, the overall story is pretty great.  The climax is excellent.    Orson Welles is a master filmmaker and this is him at top form, before “Citizen Kane” essentially got him blacklisted (though this was made after "Citizen Kane").  A great film and necessary for fans of noirs.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
