Old Review: The Simpsons Movie. What more needs to be said, really?
New Review (without watching it again) written December 11, 2008:
This is what needs to be said, motherfucker: The Simpsons is my favorite TV Show of all time, with the Young Ones being seconds. This movie is perhaps the best paced movie ever made. The jokes are hilarious and putting the Simpsons in a different setting (Alaska) is a nice way to keep the movie fresh, without seeming like a retread of the TV show. If there is a problem with the movie is that the secondary characters don't get enough time to shine (besides Flanders, who almost becomes a surrogate father to Bart). Albert Brooks, the best Simpsons guest star, plays the evil head of the EPA who wants to bomb Springfield off of the mad. Tom Hanks makes a funny cameo.
10/10
