IMDB

Pulse opens with a man and his wife looking out the window as his neighbor across the street is going beserk and destroying his home. All of a sudden there is no more movement in the house because the guy is dead. Little do we know that the son of the man watching this unfold is none other than Joey Lawrence.
Joey Lawrence is visiting his father a week after the accident happened. He is obsessed with finding out how the man died. He befriends a young boy with a bowl cut. They sneak into the house. (I'm a little hazy on this part because I was in the kitchen cooking up some lunch, and couldn't watch every second while doing so): A man finds them in the house and people think he's crazy. He tells the kids that a pulse killed the guy.
Joey Lawrence's step mom runs into that man and he tells her to turn off the faucets and unplug everything. He also tells her where to get a good deal on kerosene in the mall. Of course she doesn't listen and ends up in the hospital with severe burns on her body from taking a hot shower.
In the end they win, of course.
I wasn't expecting much from this flick due to its 4.9 on IMDB, but that rating is unfounded. This was a really solid horror movie that is pretty family friendly and entertaining. Joey Lawrence is really good in the lead even. If you don't enjoy horror movies featuring cast members of Blossom then you have no heart.

7.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
