This animated flick is based loosely on a Robin Harris stand-up bit. Although, Robin Harris died before the animation of the movie was completed so the character of Robin is played by Faizon Love.
This movie is actually pretty decent, not a masterpiece or anything, but at 70 minutes it's hardly a chore to sit through. I'm pretty sure the episode of the Simpsons where they go to Itchy and Scratchy Land was inspired by Bebe's Kids to a point, but I may be wrong. Anyway, this is a decent kids movie and better than a lot of the cheapie movies aimed at a black audience (Soul Plane, any of the Damon Dash movies, I Got Five On It, etc.).
