Running Scared opens with a botched drug-op that ends with some dirty cops being shot. Joey goes home and hides the gun that shot them in his basement. Unfortunately, his son and his son's best friend, Oleg, see him hide the gun. Oleg takes the gun and shoots his abusive step-father and runs away. Joey now has to find Oleg and get the gun back before the mob kills him.
I don't want to go into any further detail because you should see this movie. It's very well directed and stylish. The acting is great and the writing is good. Highly recommended.
