Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Budget: $131,000,000
IMDB

Where the first Fantastic Four movie fell short, I felt that Rise of the Silver Surfer mostly succeeded. The pacing was a bit faster and there was slightly more action.
Sue and Reed Richards are getting married. The Silver Surfer shows up and ruins their wedding. He's putting craters in the Earth so Galactus can devour the planet.
Dr. Doom is back. He's helping the Fantastic Four figure out how to stop the Silver Surfer. Problem being, Doom is a douche.
Human Torch gets into a fight with Silver Surfer and can now take on the powers of the other members of the Fantastic Four.
I dug the story in this one a lot more than the first. The first 30 minutes are awesome. There's still a level of cheesiness to the dialogue, but that's just the Fantastic Four. They're a corny group of super heroes, so they deserve a corny movie.

7.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
