James Stewart plays a young, appointed Senator. A tycoon tries to buy Stewart with the promise of holding the Senate seat for 20 years. Stewart turns him down, because he's very honest. In turn Stewart tries to bring him down, while trying to get a bill passed that would open a free camp for boys.
Good movie. It's a bit long and some of the emotion could have been explained a bit more, but that's just nitpicking. Even though I'm not that into politics, I always enjoy these political charged dramas. Also, I need to check out more Capra films.
8.5/10
