IMDB

The president of a longshoreman's union goes missing. The police are investigating the son of a bootlegger (Paul Newman). A newspaper woman (Sally Field) sees a file that's left on one of the officers' desk, which was intended to be seen by her. She runs the story in the newspaper, only to have Newman show up the next day demanding to know her source. Things escalate as Newman and Field get involved and the investigation heats up.
A pretty good crime drama with some great acting. Field and Newman are some of the greatest actors ever, in my opinion. This film presents a lot of moral questions to the viewer. Plus the end is pretty cool and Wilfred Brimley shows up.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
