Woody Allen plays an ex-con and would-be thief married to an ex-stripper (Tracey Ullman). Allen and a few friends come up with a plan to tunnel under some buildings and into a bank using a cookie shop ran by Ullman as a front. Things hit a hitch when Ullman's cousin blabs about the tunnel and a police officer catches them breaking into the wrong building. The cop pushes them into franchising their cookie business. They all end up becoming hugely rich. Ullman wants to become more cultured and Allen wants none of it. They begin to drift apart when an art collector (Hugh Grant) takes an interest in Ullman.
This is a really enjoyable Woody Allen film. The first act is especially hilarious. I love Woody, Michael Rapaport, Jon Lovitz and Tony Darrow trying to dig into the bank. The rest of the film is also really good, but we lose track of all the characters that aren't Woody Allen or Tracey Ullman and Hugh Grant is introduced. Still, this is a really funny movie that's well worth watching.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
