IMDB

A genius with a bleak outlook on life (Larry David) takes in a beautiful young lady (Evan Rachel Wood) who has ran away from her home in Mississippi. They end up married. When the lady's religious mother (Patricia Clarkson) unexpectedly drops by, she is not thrilled to see Larry David as her son-in-law. The mother is constantly trying to fix Wood up. Clarkson ends up finding herself and becomes a photographer who lives with two guys and has abandoned her faith. Wood's closeted father soon visits and finds how much his family has changed.
Woody Allen has been releasing some really great films over the last several years. Larry David is essentially playing himself (or his character on Curb Your Enthusiasm) with a philosophical edge. The movie is pretty funny, unlike the last couple Allen movies. Definitely worth checking out.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
