IMDB
A pushy, can twirling man meets a woman and asks for her hand in marriage. She tells him to ask her father. Her father tells him to get a job first. He joins the Navy, not realizing the commitment involved. The girl asks him to go on a trip with her family. He tries to get out of the Navy, but he's told he has to do it for three years.
Harold Lloyd is my favorite silent film star. While I enjoy Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, I find that their films aren't laugh out loud funny like Harold Lloyd's are.
This is a very short movie and its pace is suitably lightening fast. A lot of the gags are funny and a few are hilarious. I liked Harold Lloyd's more pushy character in this film.
The climax, where the girl is kidnapped and Lloyd must infiltrate a palace to save her is top notch. It's a slapstick and visual gag buffet, essentially. Watch this.
