I never saw Juno because the trailer make it seem like everybody in the film would talk like the biggest idiots on the internet talk. Jennifer's Body pretty much confirmed my suspicions.
The film takes place in Devil's Kettle, a Columbine-esque small town. Jennifer and Needy, two unlikely friends (the hot girl and the nerd) since "the sandbox," attend a rock show at a bar. While the band is playing their set, the bar bursts into flames. They manage to escape. The band coerces Jennifer to their van and they take off. She shows up later at a freaked out Needy's house, where she eats a roast chicken or turkey and spews black bile.
Between moments where the characters have sex and say really dumb things (like "Nice hardware, ace"), Jennifer kills people. You see, the rock band that took Jennifer with them performed a ritual sacrifice. Their plan hit a snag when they mistook Jennifer as a virgin. Now she's possessed by a demon.
Besides the awful writing, there could potentially be a good movie hidden in this pile of refuse. The director, Karyn Kusama, is pretty good. She also directed the piece of shit Aeon Flux movie, so maybe she just doesn't know what a good movie is yet.
I could see there being an audience for this. I guess they talk in a similar way to Clueless, except only strippers/sluts talk the way they do in this movie. You could do a lot worse than this movie, but it's far from good.

5.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
