Directed by Kathryn Bigelow

IMDB

An army bomb squad in Iraq is shown doing what they do, disarming bombs. It's hard to say that much more than that happens in this film, really. It's pretty cut and dry.
What makes this movie great, other than the (I assume) realistic portrayal of war, is how tense disarming the bombs is.
Honestly, I don't know what more to say. It won best picture at the Academy Awards this year, and it probably deserved it (I haven't seen every movie nominated). You're going to see it, right? Just see it.

9.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
