IMDB

Kathleen Turner plays a hopeless romantic who is a popular romance novelist. Her sister's husband had just been murdered in Columbia. Now she finds out that her sister has been kidnapped and that her sister's husband has sent her a treasure map. The kidnappers want her to come to Columbia to give them the map in exchange for her sister.
In Columbia, she gets on the wrong bus and ends up standed in the jungle when the bus she's on crashes. Michael Douglas helps her out and agrees to take her to where she needs to go for $375.
They're soon being chased by a military group (or maybe geurrilas) and Danny Devito. They end up going after the treasure themselves, of course. Plus they fall in love, of course.
This is a somewhat okay movie. It's pretty chick flicky and not very funny. I expected lots of PG-13 style action (there was some), but this is definitely a product of the 80s, although with a pretty large budget I'd guess. Not really worth the time.

5.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
