Siu nin Wong Fei Hung ji: Tit Ma Lau (1993)

Labels: ,

Directed by Woo-ping Yuen
Written by Tai-Muk Lau, Cheung Tan, Pik-yin Tang and Hark Tsui
AKA Iron Monkey
IMDB

Faced with corrupt local government and shaolin monks, a man decides to become a vigilante hero delivering a swift kick (and lots of flips) to injustice. The governer is seeking out the Iron Monkey and even forces Wong Fei-Hung's father into it.
The plot is pretty fair, but it honestly doesn't matter. This is a kung fu film and that's what I want to see. This has some really excellent fight scenes and is directed by the master of kung fu choreography, Yuen Woo-ping. This is a wire-fu movie and has a similar feel as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If that piques your interest at all then see it. If you don't want to see people fighting then watch Leave it to Beaver (fast forward through the parts with Eddie Haskel).

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
