This movie is the very definition of a mediocre-but-entertaining-enough, comedy. Great cast (Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer, Zooey Deschannel, Steve Coogan, TJ Miller, Katherine Hahn, Adam Scott, Rashida Jones) full of beautiful women. The movie kind of treads the line of being a “chick flick,” so take that into account.
Paul Rudd plays a nice guy hippy who goes to jail for selling weed to a uniformed police officer. When he gets out he bounces around living at his mother’s house and with his three sisters. His honesty and code of ethics turns the lives of his sisters upside-down, but for the better.
If you have to watch a chick flick, this is a fairly easy one to sit through. Would not watch again. It is rated R, but really did not have to be. It probably would have made $20 million more if it had been PG-13.
