IMDB
Based on the comic book that I could not read due to the art style, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is visually stunning. It is a good use of an insane amount of special effects.
Scott Pilgrim leaves his 17 year old Chinese girlfriend to start dating Ramona, a anime hipster girl with colorful hair. He has bitten off more than he can chew, when he finds out he must face her seven evil exes.
I really enjoyed this film. It perhaps was too overloaded with special effects and nerdy laughs, if anything. The fights are all a lot of fun and are reminiscent of fighting video games, anime and kung fu films. Lots of silly laughs and just generally a good time. I luckily got to watch this on my friend's 50 inch hd tv, which is how I'd recommend seeing it. Email me and I will give you her address.
