Jason Takes Manhattan takes Jason Voorhees out of his comfort zone, Camp Crystal Lake. The other Friday the 13th that takes Jason away from the camp he drowned in is Jason X, which takes Jason to outerspace. This takes Jason to Manhattan, but the question is, does Jason take Manhattan? Yes, he does. He kills everybody, at least.
This is a good movie if you like to see a man walk around and killing people in mostly uninventive ways. I do not necessarily like that. This is considered the worst of the Friday the 13th movies. I put it on because my girlfriend never watches horror movies, so I put on the dumbest one.
This movie is truly bad, it's on the cusp of being campy good. It doesn't quite make it, although there are a few memorable scenes (Jason punching a guy's head off). I would not recommend this movie to anybody, but I would watch it again.
