Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985)
Directed by Tim Burton
Written by Phil Hartman, Paul Reubens and Michael Varhol
IMDB
When Pee-wee's sweet bike is stolen by his arch enemy, local rich "kid," Francis, he sets out on an adventure in order to retrieve it.
A children's movie classic. Parents and children can both enjoy it, and kids will probably be a little frightened by some of it. I was when I was a kid. I must admit, I enjoy this film a lot more as an adult than I did as a child. A lot of fun and probably Tim Burton's best movie.
I hate Tim Burton, overall. I like this movie and Ed Wood. Dislike Batman and its even worse sequel, Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Planet of the Apes and Charlie and the Chocolate Factore. Don't really care one way or the other about Edward Scissorhands. It's okay, I guess. This is good, though. I can't wait for the Pee-wee HBO special and upcoming Apatow produced movie.
