Emma Stone stars as Olive, a prudish "nobody" high school student. When she lies to her friends about losing her virginity, a girl overhears her and the rumor spreads across campus quickly. She decides to start charging guys money to say they slept with her and she begins to dress provocatively, even wearing a scarlet 'A' on her chest like in the scarlet letter.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
This was surprisingly decent. It has an 85% on Rotton Tomatoes, even. I would not go as far as to give it an 8.5, but it was fun and worth a watch. If I was a teenager, I probably would have loved it. I would probably go as far as to say that it is one of the best teen movies made in a long time, though there aren't a lot of good teen movies being made as far as I know. They're probably off my radar at this point.
The moments in this movie that come off as cheesy also come off as fairly realistic. Emma Stone was pretty good in it and Patricia Clarkson plays her mother and she's always great. So minus some moments of cheesyness, it's a fun movie with good performances.

7/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
