A man nicknamed "The Pawnshop Ghost" is framed for a drug deal and murder. He finds out that his neighbor and her daughter have been taken. He breaks out of jail and runs through the gang of thugs and drug dealers.
This is a dark and violent movie. In fact, Netflix recommended it to me as a "Dark and Violent Foreign Action Movie." The early portion of the movie, the action happens off camera. I found that frustrating, but because I thought all of the action was going to happen off-screen. Thankfully, it didn't and we get a really great climax featuring a fantastic knife fight.
This was Korea's top-grossing film in 2010. It's similar to Taken, really. I liked Taken more, but this was also really good. It's worth a watch.
7/10
