A 14 year old girl seeks the help of the tracker Rooster Cogburn in order to bring her father's killer to justice. She forces him to allow her to accompany him on the mission.
A pretty solid flick. I obviously enjoy the Coen brothers (obvious if you read this blog, which you don't and probably aren't reading right now). In a way, this movie reminded me of The Goonies. It features a child on an adventure and is fun, although this has a more serious edge to it and is a bit more violent.
I was actually somewhat surprised to see the level of gore in this movie given its PG-13 rating. After seeing Die Hard 4, I was under the impression that a movie cannot have blood in it and be PG-13. This movie even featured people smoking! Come on MPAA.
