IMDB

An elderly man comes out of the closet after his wife dies.  His son has trouble committing to relationships because of his parents’ complicated marriage.  After his father dies, he meets Anna and has a complicated relationship with her.  The movie is a out-of-order collage of his childhood, his father being out and dying of cancer and his relationship with Anna.
What a great film!  Touching and funny.  This never comes across as a gimmicky “indie” movie like “Blue Valentine” or other movies in that vein.  The performances are top-notch (Christopher Plummer won the Best Actor Academy Award).

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
