A disease is spreading across the world, causing millions of lost lives. We see the doctors working for a cure, a blogger trying to stir up controversy, and people dealing with the disease and trying to avoid getting the disease.
The cast of “Contagion” is phenomenal (Matt Damon, Gwenyth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Lawrence Fishburne, Bryan Cranston). Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this movie has a distinct visual style, as his movies are apt to have.
This movie is no “Outbreak,” but it is a fine disease-centered film, dealing with the drama of the situation in many different ways and from point of views. An interesting and pretty solid film.
