Simon Pegg and Nick Frost star (and co-wrote) this R-rated comedy about two sci-fi nerds how traveled from the UK to America to attend comic con and see America’s famous UFO sites. They meet an alien on their trip and go on the run from some government types.
“Paul” was better than I expected, but it still wasn’t all that great. The cast is great (Kristen Wiig, Joe La Truglio, Jason Bateman, Seth Rogen, Jeffrey Tambor, Jane Lynch, Dave Koechner, Bill Heder, Sigorney Weaver). There are some laughs to be had and it is generally entertaining, but not that funny or that entertaining. Still, there’s worse ways to spend 90 minutes, like testicular electrocution or listening to Seal.
