Midnight in Paris (2011)

IMDB

Woody Allen’s 2011 film is one of his finest.  Owen Wilson stars as a film writer struggling with his first novel.  He is in Paris working on his book and spending time with his fiancee, her parents and her friends.  He finds himself transported to the 1920s every night when he goes to a certain corner and hops into a car at midnight.  In the 20s he spends time with some of his favorite artists and writers.
I loved this movie.  Woody Allen’s films keep getting technically better, the writing has always been great.  I would put this up in my top 5 favorite Woody Allen films.  Fantastic, funny and magical.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
