Bob
the Gambler is notorious for, of all things, gambling. When he was
younger he was arrested for a bank heist. When he hears that a casino
will have 800 Million francs in their safe during the Grand Prix, he
cannot help himself and orchestrates a heist.
Very
well made, but not like heist movies of today. It’s not as slick, but
it’s still slick, especially for a movie made in 1956. I could not
imagine this movie being in color. The black & white gives it a
grittiness and a slickness that it would not have otherwise. A very
good movie.
