The college-aged son of a New England couple dates an older woman (Marisa Tomei). Her ex-husband kills him in altercation, leading his parents to deal with his death and the sentencing of his murderer.
A gripping and emotional drama. I had seen this about 8 years ago, but I was getting it mixed up with “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead” and forgot that the son dies. I was caught off guard by it. This is a great movie. The acting is superb and Todd Field does a great job directing.
