After
hating “Captain America” and “Thor” as much as I did, I was pleasantly
surprised by my complete enjoyment of “Iron Man 2.” It was really fun,
and even the anti-climatic final battle didn’t ruin the film for me.
Robert
Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark. He finds that his power core is
slowly killing him. As he moves closer to death he attempts to wrap up
his affairs. Then Mickey Rourke shows up and has electric whips and
wants to kill him. When Rourke is arrested, Stark’s business nemesis,
Justin Hammer, breaks him out of prison to help him build some tech that
will out-do the Iron Man suit.
A
fun and entertaining film. Though, not as good as the first one, it
does maintain a lot of what made the first one so enjoyable. Robert
Downey Jr. is so likable as Tony Stark that is impossible not to enjoy
this film.
8/10
