Damon Wayans is the World Heavyweight Champ, but his Don King-esque promoter (Samuel Jackson) can't afford to pay him for his last fight due to his domination. They get a great idea-- have a white boy, who beat the champ in an amateur fight, challenge for the title. The only problem is he isn't a boxer anymore. So they have to convince the public that he's a contender.
This movie is actually a really funny look at boxing. I was genuinely surprised. Sometimes you luck out and get a winner, I suppose. The cast (Jon Lovitz, Jeff Goldblum, Cheech, Damon Wayans, and Samuel Jackson) is really good and funny.
